Features and Remarks
Nebel often works on phenomena of the infinite and cyclical repetition in her art. Here, she works figuratively and throughout with red ink alone:
As if from the subconscious, an erotic female body emerges. Hands clasped behind her back, the nude bends backwards. Her curves fill the page. The sensual, naked forms emerge from the washed red colours. The convergence of the luminous material reinforces the random emergence of the composition - mist is playing a game with our perception here.
One quickly thinks of the Rorschach test from psychology when looking at this material - what we recognise in the shapes of colour, which seem random, is also what we put into it as an interpreter.
A sensual and luminous unique piece by the Immendorff student for your collection.
